I am a hoper, a dreamer. I am a follower of bread crumbs. I believe that God has opened a door for me and that my task is to let God lead me to it. He has left a trail of "bread crumbs" for me to follow and I am trying to be alert, attentive and honest so I can quickly recognize them. While the path to your open door, may not be the same as mine, perhaps we can help one another recognize bread crumbs when we see them.

Feeding the Good Wolf

Feeding the Good Wolf

Dear Reader

I have a lot of catching up to do; having wasted most of my life focused on myself instead of God. I could learn much faster if you'd comment on my observations. I'm certain you have much you could teach me.

Sweet Lines of Poetry

"The Rose"

Some say love, it is a river
That drowns the tender reed.
Some say love, it is a razor
That leaves your soul to bleed.
Some say love, it is a hunger,
An endless aching need.
I say love, it is a flower,
And you its only seed.

It's the heart afraid of breaking
That never learns to dance.
It's the dream afraid of waking
That never takes the chance.
It's the one who won't be taken,
Who cannot seem to give,
And the soul afraid of dyin'
That never learns to live.

When the night has been too lonely
And the road has been too long,
And you think that love is only
For the lucky and the strong,
Just remember in the winter
Far beneath the bitter snows
Lies the seed that with the sun's love
In the spring becomes the rose.
